Parade Start 9 a.m. at USS Bullhead Memorial Park, 1606 San Pedro Dr SE, 87108. Travel east on Gibson Boulevard from San Mateo Boulevard.

The City of Rio Rancho
Will recognize Memorial Day with a remembrance ceremony on May 26th, honoring the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in military service to their country. The ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial Park at 10 a.m. The ceremony will include the laying of a wreath and presentation of Taps, and four displays representing the history of the Battlefield Crosses from the Civil War, WWI, WWII, through Korea and Vietnam wars, along with Desert Storm through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
A set of military boots representing fallen service members from each branch will also be displayed. The boots will be laid out in military formation and will have a personalized portrait of a fallen veteran alongside each one. The boots representing fallen service members will be displayed at Veterans Park as a powerful, temporary memorial.
Santa Fe National Cemetery
2025 Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony, Monday, May 26, 2024, at 10 a.m.
The event includes wreath presentations, a color guard, and the playing of Taps. The keynote speaker will be Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández of New Mexico’s 3rd congressional district.
FLAG PLACEMENT: Saturday, May 24, 2025 8:00am
Help us honor our fallen military and veterans with Flag Placements at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Meet at the flagpole and rostrum. This is a free event -- no RSVP required. We will take a few hours (possibly 3) to cover the cemetery. We will provide flags, and tools, in designated areas throughout the cemetery. Please wear sunscreen and hats, along with lightweight clothing.
FLAG PICKUP: Tuesday, May 27, 2025, starting at 8 a.m., until all flags are picked up and packed away
