'Pharmacy deserts' are common in Chicago neighborhoods of color

Chicago’s South and West sides are predominantly low-income neighborhoods, with a majority of Black and Latino residents. Research shows these communities are “pharmacy deserts” — areas with low geographical access to pharmacies.
