The New Mexico Music programming started in 1973 as a unique service featuring Spanish music produced and performed by New Mexicans. KANW is proud to provide a venue to these artists that would otherwise never receive airplay nor recognition in the largest broadcast market of the state. KANW's Saturday morning New Mexico Music and dedications is a New Mexico radio tradition and maintains the highest ratings of all KANW's programs.
Today, many classic country songs and established country artists are no longer played on the radio. Each Saturday night, KANW features the country music you won't find on any other station. Join Michael Brasher as he plays music by country music's biggest stars including Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Reba McEntire, George Jones, and Hank Snow.
